Drives

Drives is a collective name for devices that control motors, as well as devices that are directly related to them. In the case of servo systems or robots, we can confidently talk about servo drives, in the case of other motors - about inverters and power supplies. In the case of larger asynchronous motors or spindles, the so-called softstarters, i.e. devices smoothing the increase in current when starting the actuator.

Regardless of the exact nature of the drive, it often includes various optional control cards, parameter cards and communication cards. They are commonly referred to as configuration cards or insert cards.
