Rulers

The rulers are used to read the linear position. Usually they use analog signals, but in newer products there are also digital interfaces, and less common are magnetic lines . They consist of a head and a proper ruler (scale, body). The head reads the signals optically or magnetically and sends it to the machine control. The most popular manufacturers: Heidenhain, SICK, Precizika.
